Culligan Union Grove was opened by William Meredith in 1947. Working as an electrician after World War II, Culligan portable exchange tanks installed in homes piqued his curiosity. After some research, he decided that it represented an excellent opportunity. He purchased the original franchise rights from Emmett Culligan for just $1, regenerated the tanks in his mothers basement for many years. basement of William's mother's home on Main Street in Union Grove and continued there for several years. The company expanded and in 1986, the Company was sold to Don Meredith, Bill's son. Another dealership operating primarily from Forest Park, IL was purchased in 1998.

Ray did the installation of my water softener and filter. He was professional, polite and efficient. He understands very quickly what’s going on and gets right to work. Walked me through my system, filled my salt and got rid of old equipment and piping. The whole process from start to finish was quick, easy and painless. Highly recommend!
